Situated in the Greater Addo and Frontier Country area of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa is the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve – a mere 50 minute drive north-east of Port Elizabeth’s national airport.
Directions to HillsNek Safari Camp from Port Elizabeth
approx. 75km / 1 hour
- From Port Elizabeth take the N2 towards Grahamstown
- Pass the Paterson turn-off and continue for another 10 km.
- Continue over a bridge (Bushman’s River) where you travel about 200m until you see a road sign “Woodbury Lodge, Amakhala Game Reserve”
- Take the right exit under a thatched roof to Woodbury gate
- At the reserve gate – press the white button to enter
- Continue on an unpaved road until you come to a split – continue right following the signage “ HillsNek” and “Conservation Centre”
- As you approach the Conservation Centre you will see a sign that reads “HillsNek Parking”
- Your ranger will be there to welcome you.
