Measures & Precautions

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
We would like to advise all future guests that we are following the strictest health and safety guidelines as we reopen our lodges post lockdown.
We are being led by numerous leading tourism bodies, health organisations, and resources, to ensure we meet all required preventative measures.
Should you require more information or have any questions about these measures, feel free to call us on +27 (0) 41 450 5658 or email: res@hillsnek.com

WE TAKE YOUR SAFETY SERIOUSLY

Below are some of the measures the Amakhala Game Reseve is putting in place to ensure that when you do visit us, you can do so with peace of mind. Please note that these measures are  subject to impovement at any stage.

SOCIAL CONTACT

We have reduced the capacity of our lodges to fall within government guidelines, this includes both staff and guests. You accommodation is generously set apart and private, meaning contact with other guests can remain at a minimum.

GAME DRIVES

We will try our best to keep our game drive vehicles as private as possible, and at no stage will we accommodate more than 6 individuals on an open cruiser. Hand sanitizer will be available and snacks will be separated.

OUR PEOPLE

The safety of our own staff is paramount. Staff returning to work will have their temperatures taken. Should there be any flags an isolation period and further screening will apply. Masks will be worn while engaging with guests.

CLEAN HANDS

All communal areas will have alcohol based hand sanitizer readily available for your use. You can find it in reception, on game drives, in communal areas and on special request in your room.

WINE & DINE

One of the greatest pleasures of any holiday is indulging in fine food and wine, and that won’t stop. Our kitchen processes have been redefined. Tables will be spaced generously apart.

HELLO TO YOU

Our staff have all been trained on hygiene best practice. Don’t be offended if you don’t get offered an outstretched hand to shake, a friendly smile will be waiting to greet you just as warmly.
